ESTONIAN FASHION DESIGNERS ASSOCIATION 30: Talisman

11.10.–06.11.2024

The 30th anniversary exhibition of the Estonian Fashion Designers Association at the Freedom Gallery

On Friday, October 11 at 5 p.m., the group exhibition „Talisman“, which celebrates the 30th anniversary of the Estonian Artists’ Association’s sub-association – the Estonian Fashion Designers Association, will open at the Vabaduse Gallery. The exhibition will remain open until November 6, 2024.

„The exhibit centres around the highlights of the creative lives and the memories acquired over the years by the members of our association. These memories, expressed through textile and fashion, sometimes reveal the artists’ true selves as well as a wise acceptance of the twists and turns of life. With the models on display, the authors tell personal stories and recall key moments in their creative lives. The energy born of co-creation has guided, encouraged and helped us to move forward consistently. Selected reminiscences reveal who we are as fashion designers and highlight the essential sources of strength for this.“

Participants: Anne Metsis, Anu Hint, Anu Ling, Astri Müül, Diana Denissova, Getter Vader, Kai Saar, Katre Arula, Kärt Karjatse, Külli Kerttu Siplane, Küllike Tuvikene, Liivika Põvat Straus, Maire Valdma, Maris Willadsen, Monika Kisand, Thea Pilvet, Tuuli Reinsoo, Tuuliki Peil.
